Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Ekaterina (Eka) Machavariani.
I've been passionate about solving math problems since I was a young kid. While in high school in Georgia, I participated in various math Olympiads and brought a Gold Medal from the International Mathematics Project Competition in 2005.
My commitment to the world of mathematics led me to the American University in Bulgaria, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Economics. During my time at the university, I assumed leadership roles as the Chess Club President and the Representative of the Math Department within the student government.
However, my thirst for knowledge continued beyond the undergraduate level. I pursued a Master's Degree in Math at New York University, refining my mathematical skills to the highest standards. Today, I proudly serve as a part-time math instructor at the renowned institution for contest preparation, the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), where I have the privilege of sharing my passion for mathematics with eager students.
Beyond the classroom, I've dedicated myself to privately preparing students for the challenges of Math Olympiads and providing Enrichment Math tutoring. To me, mathematics is more than just a subject; it's a lifelong passion that I'm committed to nurturing in others through diligent teaching and mentorship.
